Institutional meeting to raise awareness of poverty and promote regional action, with particular attention to the feminisation of poverty and persons with disabilities.
On 11 August 2026, the Special Rapporteur met with María Guardiola, President of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura (Spain), and Abel Bautista, Vice-President, to raise awareness of poverty and promote action by regional actors within States.
The meeting addressed, among other issues, efforts to combat the feminisation of poverty and the situation of persons with disabilities.
